Few of us went for a rip again today but we could really use some more snow. Hilltops are thin, stubble visible etc. Had a good time regardless, but the snow over the next two days will be a big help. Rolled my sled down a small coulee wall and buggered up my bars so I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

Edit: holy that's a big picture.

There is more snow if you head south west. I was out at Spruce View today and there is still enough snow to cross a plowed field and only felt a few lumps. Hopefully we get the full 30 cm from the next storm. I had my Daughter out for another ride on her Enticer put on another 12 miles. She is getting more confident now and I clocked going 30mph across the hay field. No pictures today maybe next weekend.

Woke up to about 8" or so on the walk with more coming down. Makes getting around town a total pain in the ass but I'll welcome any more snow!

I work in Red Deer Tuesday-Saturday, anyone around go for evening rips? Don't know the area all that well and wondering if it's worth bringing the sled down

Holy **** boys hang onto your butts, looks like driving around town is gonna suck for a couple more days! The good news is we'll be able to rip around home without bouncing off the rocks now!

This week is going to be pretty cool in the evenings. My riding gear is for mountain riding so it's not great at -30.

Anyone have a have good meeting place to plan a ride from that doesn't involve crossing the river from the north side. Highway 11 ditches should be fun

I'm going to have to cruise past the blindman this afternoon and see if anyone's riding there yet.

Above freezing temps all next week :(

Git out and enjoy it dudes cause it's gonna be the pits after that! Unless it snows a bunch again. Nothing worse than melting temps followed by a deep freeze for making it a pain in the ass to ride across the fields.

true, but it will provide a base to ride on with any new snow. be careful of the creeks and ponds. looks like a poker rally out at bentley on jan 12, by the david thompson riders.

It took me a full hour to get from Spruce View to Red Deer. At times I couldn't see 15 feet, not complaining though the sledding was great. Can't remember the last time we had this much snow in December.
