I was going to get a new sled this year but will end up having to pass.

I know guys get special "colors" and a year extra warranty with snowchecking but the only real benefit that I can see are the better shocks you get with a snowcheck.

Has anyone got any other extras? Sled cover? coupons? anything?

I have found through the years that snowcheck sleds have the best deal, most options and best promo's. Most dealers build them first as there are time constraints on getting them out the door. Not all sleds show up at the same time so you will see the odd crusty peep mad when they get there's later. We used to try and build them as they were bought in the spring if shipping cooperated. The guy that shops you from one end of the province to the other and buys the last day of spring break is the last to get it. Seemed to work pretty good over the years for us. Don't be scared to snowcheck in the spring.

you gain an extra year of 1500$ warranty....how are the shocks the only benefit?

dealer may throw in an extra but not all do.

Best thing is the powder coated tunnel .... Never polish a tunnel again ... Plus snow don't stick to it either like bare aluminumn...

As a first time snow checker myself, I've talked to a few dealers that said they were all out of new stock and didn't order enough stock for their showroom floor this year and they will not be getting any other new machines in at all, so another benefit to snow checking is being able to order the exact sled you want whether it be a SP or X. You may risk not getting a new one at all in the fall as they have sold fast this year, and if you do have the chance to buy one in the fall it may not be the machine you want at all. I don't know if dealers treat fall buyers the same as spring buyers, but my dealer gave a % discount on all accessories and installed everything for free of charge. Extra year of warranty was enough for me to snow check as well even if I may have gotten the same price in the fall. I like the fact I got the colour I wanted.

I believe that the dealers have allocation on a numbers of sleds they can order.
The # of snow checks are subtracted from that .
Pending dealer it may not give them a lot to bring in other than snow checks.
In the last few years you are seeing this more and more.

Hard to believe BRP would do that, the more the dealers sell the more cash BRP makes. But who knows…

Dealers go to the dealer show and BRP tells them what they are taking based on last years sales. They usually like you to take a 15% increase but some dealers will negotiate them down or take a lower sales level to keep there numbers in check. Carryover is included in the formula. If they have a spectacular spring check then the dealer may be short on units in the fall and once sold out will either sit pat or start transferring units in from dealers that will work with him.

Your right , and I could be wrong but factory only builds x amount of summits or other models in the time frame that they have.
Sno Pro or other's in the know will chime in as they sell them.
