Honestly the stock Summit shocks are crap. Basically the worst shocks they can find. Raptors are the best shocks ever built. That's a huge difference.
Also, the only difference between the X and SP shocks is the rebuildable feature (and color).

i wouldnt go so far as crap....the sled still handles the bumps betteer than any other factory sled ive tried thus far

Free ride 146 in Saskatoon. $14,599 , $900 freight & PDI, plus tax. $17,050.00. Plus the $500 gift card for the dealer. Sales swine swore they were only making $500 bucks per sled just to keep the doors open. LMAO!

MINUS the $500 credit from the dealer so $16550. You are gunna use it all the day you pick up your sled.

But it still sucks.

Go to Pines in PA. They add $100 to msrp and then tax. Thats it. Plus a standing discount on parts.

I got a quote on same sled at Pines. $14699 plus tax. $16168.90

You drive 3 hours there and back and save $381.90 minus $100 in gas. So yiu actually save $281.90. Oh yeah and youll probably have to take it there for service. Thats another $100 in gas and a couple meals. So now youve saved $150 and lost a day.

Or get a quote and grind the Stoon dealer with it.

I did.

Its true about the margins. New trucks only make the dealers like $1500 before overhead. They all make money on parts and service.

And used vehicles.

Besides the fact that the sp shocks are a different diameter, hold less oil, made out of a differnt metal, are none rebuildable.. Is A TOTALLY differnt design.(the sp shocks are gas emulsion and the X shocks have an internal floating piston. your right they are basically the same shock..lol

The raptors are nice shocks,, not the best shocks ever built. What makes the raptors better than Elkas? or Fox float x evols, or Zbros or kyb40's ect?
Have you ever seen them on a shock Dyno? Now king triple bypass shocks, they run on trophy trucks, those are the most advanced shocks in off road sports today.

No hijack intended but your out to lunch on your shock theories...

Thanks for the correct info. Sad that I have to say something dumb to get some real info. Where does Doo give that info?

Your dealer should be up on that info or at the very least your service manager.
