Snow and Mud is being referenced in the Revelstoke Times as the place to be! Unfortunately the article that follows is likely only going to infuriate you all, since it goes on to say that in 3 years, nobody has been charged with the theft of any snowmobiles. However if we were all more careful with how we leave our sleds, and be sure to contribute to the registration money pit (see previously mention lack of charges being layed) Take a look at the article for yourselves, and then take a walk to cool down!!

Most of the sleds being stolen are from Alberta not BC. Some investigator that RCMP is:confused: Have no idea if sleds are registered in AB but does the BC RCMP even bother to check out of province sleds? Do they have AB access to AB registartion numbers?
Guess we all need to work harder to keep our stuff protected because support from the law seems to be minimal at best. Maybe if the theifs were speeding they may get questioned but what other reason to stop a truck with sleds in or on a trailer at 4AM could they use to pull them over?

the only slight possibility of getting your sleds recovered if stolen is by leaving tim horton gift cards in the seat pouch and hope the thieves stop by the tim hortons on the way out of town with your sled..at least then thats the closest your sled will ever come to have a peek by a cop cause thats where they all are

Sounds like they want the public to do the work for them......are they doing any investigation?.....or reacting to crime?

My take on the article was that S&M people complain about something that does not matter to the RCMP. It is not a big issue.
