Nordegg - Forestry Trunk Road Highway 734
10:25 AM MDT Friday 02 October 2009
Snowfall warning for
Nordegg - Forestry Trunk Road Highway 734 issued

Up to 20 cm of snow expected by Saturday afternoon.

A pacific frontal system will slowly move northeastwards across southern BC over the next 24 to 36 hours. Some wet flurries or showers are expected today. The precipitation will generally change over to snow later this evening.

The total snowfall amounts from this storm are likely going to be difficult to predict given warm ground temperatures but it is likely that up to 20 cm will fall in the Nordegg region by Saturday afternoon. The snowfall will begin to ease by Saturday evening.

The Kananaskis region will also be affected by this system and the snowfall warning may be extended further southward along the foothills this afternoon.
