All this talk about sleds and being addicted to this site has got myself wondering when are all of the sled shows schedulled for accross western Canada this year? Does anyone have a listing of the dates?

Thanks,

PS:
I am starting up my wish list of what deal I may be able to find at the show in Edmonton, yes it is a little early to be thinking about this, however, if you know me, you would not be surprised...;) There were some great deals to be had last year at the Edm. show! IMO!

Rocky Mountain Snowmobile and ATV Show
The Rocky Mountain Snowmobile and ATV Show in Calgary will wow sledding enthusiasts

by Danielle Cameron

From November 12 to 13, 2010, Calgary’s BMO Centre Hall E will be a hub of excitement. Sled and ATV fans will be gathering to see the latest products and exhibits, as well as to catch a freestyle aerial stunt show by Octane Addictions.

“(Exhibitors include) after-market accessories, clothing, travel destinations, manufacturers, trailers, trucks, videos and local dealers,” said Stephen Harnum, communications director for the show.

There will also be a kids area, and the ever-popular avalanche safety seminars.

Entry to the event will cost $15 and ample parking is available at the Stampede grounds.

“Revenue from the show goes to support the Alberta Snowmobile Association’s programs,” said Harnum, “and legislation for snowmobilers in Alberta and opening new trails to ride.”

For more information, visit the show’s website.

And EDM...

There is a great event to look forward to in Edmonton this year, on October 22 to 24. Featuring everything from accessories, clothing, manufacturer’s exhibits and a kid-friendly zone, the Ride Alberta Snowmobile and ATV Show is sure to be a big hit once again.

To add to the excitement, Octane Addictions will be putting on a freestyle aerial stunt show.

“(There will be) avalanche safety seminars, (and during the show there will be) demonstrations . . . of how the freestyle riders perform their stunts,” said Stephen Harnum, communications director for the show.

Attendants can also look forward to exhibits that showcase travel destinations, videos, trucks, trailers and after-market products.

Admission is $15, and the event is being held at the Northlands Expo Centre. The revenue collected from the show will go towards the Alberta Snowmobile Association programs.

For more information, visit the show’s website.

I think I will drive to Edmonton for this years show! I want to be sledding by the time the Calgary show comes around. Oh and I can even catch a Edm home game on Saturday night!

The Snow and Mud green team will be at the ASA awards banquet Sat night. Rumor is we all may be in for a treat or something like that. Would be good to have a good number of Snow and Mud members there

DO NOT stay at the Chateau Louis on Kingsway.... They recommended we stay there as exhibitors last year. It was pretty grungy - the shower in my room was gross *shudder*, I thought about sleeping on top of my hubby all night (and not in a good way :D) - and I am not usually a princess when it comes to hotel rooms... LOL. We have stayed at the Chateau Nova Hotel, just off Kingsway and Airport Road - it was quite nice, and was pretty new 2 years ago. I think that's where our gang is staying this year.
