I know they sell them at Cabellas here, I dont think Edm has one tho. Try some of the other outdoor stores like Wholesale Sports.

A couple of my friends built them out of plywood a few years ago. Slightly heavier than the rubbermaid style I have but they worked. Think they just made it out of 3/4 in plywood, used metal angle on the edges and ran some runners down the bottom so it didnt wear through.

I use a Equinox Snow Coach. It hauls everything I need for a few days and keeps everything dry! A little more $$$$ than a plywood skid but well worth the $$$! just my 2 cents!

any farm type store will have some good ones around $100 they use they for calves and such. ufa has them.

X2 - good tuff plastic - might need to re-inforce the front end a little with some aluminum for a hitch but works great otherwise.

Picked a couple of these, just need to get around to making a hitch....

The rope works great for the pulling part.....not so much for the stopping going down hill part...

Picked up the materials to make the hitch just need some time....

I spotted them on this site....

If this was your buddies, tell them no gas cans or sleds allowed in this spot the next time they visit:nono:

I just picked one up at Wholesale Sports in Calgary for the very same reason. The one I got was the Otter II Magnum...make sure you get the magnum...the wider the better. I think there's a wholesale Sports in Edmonton as well...get the cover too...keeps most of the snow out of your gear.

I fit 5 - 5 gal fuel cans, large gear bag, sleeping bag, tool box and a few other items and had just enough room...hope this helps:beer:

costco have a really nice one for about 140$ with a tarp to go over and it's made for be at back of a sled...i bought one this year and i can go 120km/h and it goes like a charm!!! except i blew up my chain case last time..but i did a stupid move.... hit the nitrous by accident...it work...too good... chain case exploded ...:)
but so far the plastic seems really resistant and their's some slider under so you don't wear out the bottom of the sleigh... the hitch is mounted on a spring set up
the sleigh is about 8.5 feet... fit perfectly on the deck:p

Keep you gas in one Skiff and food, gear bag sleeping bags in another if you can. Don't cheap out on the hitch (connection to the sled) it takes a likin on the trails and a cheap set up will break your day.
