Sled video from Smithers BC last year... We just got back from the Christmas trip and the hubby got a HeroCam, so I will post some footage as soon as I wade through some of it. Made a climb out of the sunpit and did a few cartwheels with the brand spanking new M8... I just have to muster the courage to watch it and then I will post it!!

Hey SlemMamma...how you like that hero cam? I was looking at buying one but don't really know too much about them...I guess they come in HD now as well...I don't want to buy a big honkin pro unit....just something to say yep...we was here...

I should be out over the next few weeks making some awesome video productions as I just picked up a new Canon Professional HD Series Camcorder and can't wait to get out there and start filming some of the pro/semi-pro sled heads doing their thing on the slopes, and in the powder.

If you're out at Quartz in the coming weeks and see me parked beside my black Nytro with a full tripod and camcorder setup, stop over say hello and show off your skills a little as I'll be putting together a lot of professional footage throughout the 2010 season. It will likely go onto an HD production DVD to capture the local snowmobile scene in Alberta and BC. I'll also try and get out to include pit stops at a couple of the big events such as Snow & Mud Revy, and the Crowsnest Jam to capture the sport/riders in detail.

If you have an upcoming group ride planned and want some high def video shot, send me a message and I'll see if I can make it out to capture it on film.

Wicked looking camera!

The HeroCam is absolutely amazing. I bought hubby the MotorsportsHero HD cam that can hold a 32GB SD card. You cannot believe how amazing the picture quality and steadiness of it is!! It wasnt the most expensive camera in the lineup to buy, but I am really happy with it! I can't wait to get home from holidays and mix it in with the still shots from my professional camera and make a sweet video :)

I've posted this video of myself from last year before but I thought I would throw it up again. All the footage is from Revy.

My first crash on the 2nd time out with the M8...

PS- If anyone can tell me how to embed the video directly into my reply instead of using links, that would be super fantabulous :)

Here's a different perspective of filming for you... Chappell Creek Dec. 28th. The sled sounds in this position suck, so I threw in a song. If you don't like the song, just turn the volume down. I think it fits pretty nicely though.

Heres an old vid my buddy dug up from years ago. The Monster Bowl in 2003, I'm riding a modded SRX and my buddy is on a big bore Mountain Max. His Big bore still can't keep up with my stock bore mod, even with poaching my track :d

We ended up going over the top, but he got tired of filming, and wanted to ride. You can see the heli-skier tracks at the top....

Embedded your video for ya! :)

Gotta say, that was one of the better vids that I have seen on here! Excellent post production work and liked the bloopers at the end! Well done Adam!

Thanks Gascan, I was pretty happy with how it turned out too...especially from one day of riding vids, and one day off of work to make this vid haha. I wish we had a high def helmet cam, but the new sled this year kinda chewed up the budget for that. Was shot with my bro's gopro helmet cam, my 8 yr old sony digital camera, and bro's jvc hard drive camcorder. And made with Window's Movie Maker. Just goes to show, ya don't need a bunch of high tech equipment or software to make a decent video. But, the high tech stuff sure makes video's look sick!

We'll see. Breaking out my new camcorder (Canon Pro Series) for it's first shoot at Quartz this weekend. Hoping to get enough footage over the next two weeks in BC to produce a full length sled flick for release sometime this year. Gonna put a lot of effort into this one and get the rights for the music used on it as well. Lot's of work to get these things right. Here's to hoping anyways!
