you should change your handle... Stompin Tom would be ashamed of you....

Why? Because I supplied information that you should be aware of before you travel to BC?

I guess its better to keep your head in the sand, head on out to BC, happen to have a young police officer say to himself, "hmmm, thats 2 sleds on the back of that half tonne with Alberta plates, I wonder if they are here for essential travel?"

The checkstops were on the Coq, and they weren’t there long.
It was just to scare the people who would be scared and not travel.
Friend drove through westbound just as they were taking them down. I think it was the Sunday after they announced them

We did Gorman lake Sat, was an epic day, certainly a great introduction to spring sledding for me. Hit Gorman Lang, East Quartz Grizzly etc, lots of slides showing but didnt see anything move. Just an epic day outdoors on the May 24 weekend. Ill post some pics from my phone, GoPro completly f'ed up and didnt capture one min of footage, soo pissed!
FYI we drove to the turn where the 4.9 k sign is, so just before the switchbacks, was patches of gravel but nothing too bad. Nothing like a day starting out in shorts and sandles, suddenly needing bug spray to unload the sled and major sunscreen lateron ha

Yep watch for any activity and be careful. When they come down they are massive.

I'll never forget the pic I seen from 1986

Where the north side ( south facing hill) took the ice off the hole lake and pushed it up the other side

I've seen it half ways take the ice off, and one year up to the ch!t house and pool hole at the east end

But this cleared the hole lake and pushed it up the south hill

Crazy chit, goose bumps every time through that terrain trap every ride after
