This morning, we had a group of people come into the shop. One with a damaged sled - needing repairs.
Anyways.... I got to talking to a couple of them and it turns out they were from Michigan, and were sledding from Michican, through Canada, all the way to Alaska! The more I dug, the more interesting it got. Turns out they are doing this "ididarod" to raise money and awareness for diabetes, so far they have raised $ 71,000. Bonnyville was pretty close to half-way at 2,000 miles.
They showed me their website, and I thought I would share with you guys. You can read blogs, watch videos, track them on GPS. The group that we met was Group 1.
