Thought I would start a thread with GPS coordinates for Sledding area Cabins, Please post your cabin locations and I will add them to the list, and then maybe a moderator could sticky to each riding area.

This is a good idea, can someone post the cabins around vale and mcbride? I was argueing with a buddy about the where abouts of the allen cabin during a whiteout a couple weekends ago.

Thanks MBB, we need some locations for northern riding areas from all the Edmonton guys and some Crownest/Fernie . If someone else has the Gorden Sydney coordinates please check mine as I just guessed on that one. When using mapsource Topo Canada after putting in info you can then "view" location on Google Earth and so far can see all cabins except the Keystone cabin(low Res) I have all these loaded into the Garmin, could be a lifesaver when bad weather moves in.

Also if anyone wants all these in a .gdb file for Garmin Mapsource, pm me with
e-mail and I'll send you the file, small only a couple kb's

The other ones for McBride are in the staging and GPS exchange area that Snow and MUD has set up on this forum. These posts should really be in the GPS exchange area that has been running almost since the site was set up.

Not easy to see, but from the main page, look to the left hand side. You will see RIDING AND STAGING areas (not all of the ones posted here are on there so Great work posting them!)

Also, your Sydney may be suspect...punched it into google earth and could not see a cabin, I know you mentioned it was a guess...or the cabin went in after the sat photo..LOL...probably not. (I SEE ITS BEEN CORRECTED>>>>>DISREGARD!!!!!)

I do have a few track files, one from Boulder Cabin to Turbo. Those come in handy as well.

Thanks for putting this together....got your file, much appreciated.

I would love an updated one when your done. If you want a track from the cabin to turbo on boulder, let me know. I have a number of waypoints on the way, including superbowl, sugar, spots to head up to get out ect.
