Not a big fan of quads, had one for the last 12 years and it only has 1400KM on it. MX and trail bikes for me, quads just do to much damage to terrain...but don't start mistaking me for some tree hugger type.:nono: You need all types of motor toys to fill everyones requirments.......peddles are just so not for me:D

You guys need a tomcar! I have been doing it for the last 3 summers. Got one of my own this year and it is only second to sledding . You can rollem, crash em , and drive the piss out of them with your buddy and beers by your side. Most summer time fun going.

I dont mind quadding either, BUT, nothing beats a sled. I laugh when anyone tries to argue (ride em all year, and krap like that) but I hate the 4 hrs of riding, and 3 hours of washing. Plus the 3 hours drive to anywhere decent, (no Bruderheim does not count) plus the ouch factor when they roll, plus the lack of top end (sport quds haul nothing, so gotta use a ute). But I would be interested in the price of those Tomcars. Any ideas Mrcoops?

Im with the sled heads,I have no use for quads,if I need a nap.I've got a couch. The Tomcar has always had my interest, especially because of the 4 seater option. One rv for the wife,2kids and myself.Seems to make sense.I wonder if the 4 seater will go where the 2 seater will.:Cool9:

Tomcar! ya i dont thinkso> Dont think there is a vehical in the world that gives the bang for the buck that a sled does. In my world quads are for checking pipeline and chasing cows. Tomcats and rangers are for fixing fence.

Started my powertoy fun on sleds. Had a dirtbike for a short while and that was fun, especially since there was riding are real close to home. Eventually the family bought a quad. I spent a lot of time on that toy while I had it and again rideable are awas close to home at the time. Like britt I pull out he fly rods (and camping gear) in summer. As snochuk noted, I find quads now cause a lot of damage. Always see a few bad apples riding the length of a stream or river, when crossings should be perpendicular, so I decided to be one less and stick to snow.

A dealer i emailed got back to me on pricing for the Tomcars. The 2 seater gas starts at 17,000.00 the 4 seater starts at 19,000.00. If u want a diesel, its an option so it will be more.

If you want to see me get poed:realmad: Just try running your quad up a stream bed or washing your quad off in a stream:realmad: Us flyfishers understand the negative results of that:rant: This is the only time you will see me and the tree huggers kind of on the same page:eek:

Not sure on the Tomcar I helped pull one out at elinor lake.....very heavy!!! no winch no 4 wheel drive was a pretty expensive golf cart. They maybe good on the hard packed mountion trails but you have to bring a chainsaw with you to get around the mud

This time last year....Loved Sledding, had no passion for Quads. My buddy borrowed a Grizzly and I took the old farm 300cc Honda out...started going out on trails, exploring....Upraged the quad in Sept 07'. NOW...I LOVE QUADS!

Nothing like a sunny summer day...cruising around in the bushes...Like Gene Simmons' says "It's like Steak & Cheesecake....why do I have to chose? I LOVE BOTH"

I love sleddin way more than quadin, but I rarely get enough time to make the 4 hr drive to enough snow to go sleddin. I liked the days when my sled was parked right off my back deck and it was just a matter of walkin out the door and pullin the rope. None of this loadin up, driving all night in the dark, gettin a hotel room, and spending a crapload of cash for a weekend of riding.

I've resorted to quadin, cuz I can be unloading in 25 min so day rides are quite a common occurance. I would ride the same areas with my sled if we would get more than 2 inches of snow on the east side of the rockies....................

Nothing is like sledding.
Camping, wakeboarding, my sportster and my mountain bike get me through the summer. Got to buy a helmet for the wakeboard though. Everything else needs a helmet and I smacked my head pretty good last year.
