No one was hurt, this old grumpy bugger over reacted forsure. But he's not a danger to society (bet he won't do that again) and putting him in jail would only cost us tax payers more money.
I think the punishment is just. IMHO

He likely sees it and calls it how it is. Don't want to get your ass beat, don't escalate it to that level by throwing the first punch. A 22 year old idiot and a 62 year old idiot are still idiots.

See that often at work, tell them 'ohh you can't do that it offends people'. Or 'that is completely against company rules/protocol' 5 or 6 times and write them up for it..... Send them to camp once for 4 days and take a couple grand out of their pockets it catches their attention.

Or when one is growing up, screw up and dad takes the belt to ya. You learn real quick cause pain hurts.

Wouldn't hurt to cut down on the bleeding hearts in this country.

you mean lucky the guy didnt crack one off on them or their sleds. I many years ago got hit with a rock salt loaded shotgun for "cutting through" and I never ever cut through again. RULES are RULES and LAWS are LAWS for a reason just dont break them and you wont have some mean ass guy pissin and moanin.
