I just went through a crash course on this. My 10 year old trailer, which I thought was fine, was not fine.

Turns out that upon close inspection, one tire was bulged and the other three had big splits down the rubber. And of the four electric brakes, three were highly corroded and not moving or barely moving, and three had broken chunks of brake disc loose inside.

My trailer is getting four new tires and four new brake assemblies right now.

If you look at your tires and think, hmm they are getting a little worn. Just change them, because the next time you look one will be blown apart on the highway. It will definitely be the drivers side, it will be dark, and the wind will be blowing. Oh, now think about the dip sh!t in the semi with his sandals on driving past you. So now your good with changing tires, be sure to repack the bearings and check the brakes. if there is any questions with the brakes, just replace everything including the backing plates.. Now this seems like a lot of cost, but its about half of what it will cost to get the trailer towed into revy/sica/vale and having someone there repair an piled up bearing. JMO
