Keep an eye out on Valemount. We are in the works of creating the first ever sled ski hill ! Its a long process, but we are getting there and should have access to the area and a few runs ready by next season if all goes well with goverment approvals etc!

Is he going home made or purchase? I have some hints either way, heh. Home made a guy can get one done for dirt cheap using falling wedges, and some old snowboard binding ankle straps.

Things would have progressed a bit faster, but since the original application to govern, we have had to change our access and now need to bridge the canoe river with a recreational bridge that has a span of about 24m, and this is holding up the process with funding and applications, but we are working with carrier lumber on a bit of a partnership with road permits etc that will hopefully ease things a bit. We still need to engineer or find a suitable structure and secure funding for the bridge portion, so if anyone is reading this with some steel or better yet a bridge kicking around please chime in. The funding for the run development and access is secured, but the bridge threw us for a bit of a loop.....long story short, hopefully next season. This is very important to me to diversify the users of our area and give another option to the current users, so I will keep at it until it gets done.

SORRY to HIGHJACK the thread, but technically it is about sled skiing.....lol

For the record, Allan and Clemina both currently offer some excellent opportunities for skiing/boarding
