Spent weeks fixing all the small problems, out for a test ride and connecting rod
rams a few new holes in the block.
Time for another motor, oh well nothing money won't fix!

I don't think so Jeff, think it had some previous rod bearing damage & or bad wear. Once in a while i noticed some odd noises and a tight spot while turning the motor over, wasn't sure what it was ...until now. Strange how it ran so good with so much power and so smooth right up to the bitter end. I had just finished checking all the carbs & had them all set the same.
