I'm graduating this year and I already started making a list of toys that ill be buying. What is a good snowmobile? Skidoo? Artic cat? yamaha? polaris? I was looking at the artic cat m1000 and m8 which would be better?

Give me your guys opinion on what sleds are good out there?

You must have a good job already! :cool:Good and bad about every brand out there. Whatever you get, don't impulse buy. Get the unit checked out by someone who knows what to watch for and IMO....stay away from radical mods. Just asking for trouble from someone else's abused crap.Have fun shopping:beer:

You have to ask yourself what kind of riding you plan on doing. If it is mountains, Ditches, trails,ETC...than that narrows the list down. They can all be a good time know matter what brand. Have fun shopping!

I already planned what kind of riding ill be doing... (Ditch and mountain). It's a battle between m800, m1000, pro rmk 800, and the summit 800.... ???

Ive been riding sleds since i was 3 (first sled being a 340 indy lite Polaris) but all the sleds where like the older generation any thing from 2003 to thhe oldest sleds out there...

A lot of variables here, as mentioned where are you planning on riding and what have you done in the past or plan on doing style wise, are you buying new or used, highschool I'm guessing you're not overly heavy so a mid or shorter track wouldn't hamper your climbs and shave some weight off your sled, average person I say 2 stroke, advanced hillclimber 4 stroke is a wise choice, New I would go a Pro RMK or Assault, used I would go M8 as there are tons around and they're cheap, also recommend any mountain riding you get yourself at the very least a beacon/probe/shovel and good warm gear

well the m1000 is out. what a turd. not in production anymore.

and if your talking 2012s they are all pretty much the same. with the exception of skidoo having the most advanced fueling technology.

That sucks to hear about the m1000... I better hurry and make a downpayment on a 2 stroke soon before honda gets all sleds electrified...

Whats the closest dealer? What do all your buddies ride?:D

We got artic cat, yamaha, polaris and skidoo.. Buddies ride all citations and old school machines(70's-90's)... im trying to get out of that era since ive grown up and been riding those machines since i was 3... unlike all of my friends who are entering the sport...
