Always back up against something so no one can take it.
Take your key out.
Have a copy of license and registration with you. ( proof of ownership.)
Good luck.

Whatever you do, don't rely on just one method. Lock it 14 ways from Sunday & make it really inconvenient & time consuming for the thieves. I know of 2 sleds the last few years that were backed up against buildings and they just lifted it right over the side into another truck.

A big chain that's not easy to cut with bolt cutters. And back up to some thing as already said. But if thieves want it they are going to get it. It's to bad that thieves don't realize that if they work as hard at a real job as they do stealing stuff, they could afford to buy stuff legally! I hate them!

Scum is what they are for real!

Ive have my fare share of stuff go missing. My buddy and I caught 4 guys once trying to scoop our dirtbikes outa the back of my pickup. Needless to say 2 of em didnt walk away....they ended up with a free ambulance ride to Emerg with numerous broken bones!!!!

What is most maddening is when they steel little bike/quads etc from poor lil children NOW THATS what gets me going! Ive had that happen a few times too, TOO bad I never caught them too LOL

use a python lock and lock it to your box or through the bumper and put a club on your steering wheel.

I had mine locked in the back of my pickup a few years ago. 3/8" System 7 chain through the skid, locked to the tie downs in the box. A kryponite bike lock through the track port and through the back idler, she was locked up tighter than a nun's wallet on payday! The fuggers ended up stealing my pickup with the sled in it!!

On my deck I'm customizing it a bit, i have a couple really fuggin heavy forestry/chain. It's so big bolt cutters can't cut it, so heavy unless you have a cutting torch your not unlocking it.

I've got mine chained up in the back of my truck. Might slow someone down, but I know if someone really wants my sled they'll get it.

I just back the truck up against the wall when I have sleds on the deck. I try to park in a row so the cant be easily taken. I carry full coverage on the truck and sled so if they take it Im not out big$$$$

everything what they ^^^ said. Lock it through the front suspension, not just the ski loops. Keep a cover on it so that peeps can't see it, back up into well lit areas, against things and between other vehicles. Chain it around the track as well and wrap the chain around both the front and rear suspension arms, or even around the drive axle if you can easily. Use a big fuggin chain and lock the chain (with whatever lock u use) up inside the track and make it tight so that it is really hard to get at the lock and they can't move the chain around to do so. Pretty hard to drill or pick a lock stuffed up in the track around the front suspension arm.....Just don't forget the key to the lock! Install a breaker or master switch on the positive battery cable of your truck and shut it off before you leave the truck. If u r staying at hotels, find out where the cameras are if they have them and park near them if possible.
