I had mine in my backpack until I met the warden down at Cattaract creek (alberta) got myself a ticket and the guy threatened to tow the sled away and continued to lecture me that in my backpack does not count. Must have been on a power trip, none the less it is now mounted to the tunnel for all to see. Please officer no more tickets, we are in a recession.

That sux. The first time I got stopped on my banshee, Plate screwed under the seat. I told him that the quad was a 92, and never offered in Canada that year. So no factory plate holder. He said put it in the front where it was visible. I said I can't, 'cause it will block the rad. He eventually let me go with a warning.

Same deal on the sled.( plate in the back fridge) Except the cop said mount it on the tunnel or the snow flap. I told him (very polititely) to screw his own plate to his trunk lid, of his own vehicle. Again got off with a warning.

So yet we have to mount our plates, to our toy's that don't have Factory plate holder's.:confused::confused:

I'm for the numbers on the side. They are easier to fix, with a heat gun, then a new tunnel, or plastic.;)

all my old wedge sleds had the plate mounted above left foot, holes even matched then plate,no drilling. not sure where to put on the new Vertical Escape. maybe the flap?

I just put mine on the left side of the tunnel. The red numbers match good. LOL.

I heard they might be dropping the plate requirement in SK. Anyone know whether its truth or rumor?

I took my plate to the local Staples and had them take a photocopy of it in a smaller size and then got them to laminate it. Placed it on the inside of my windsheild and haven't had any problems

Nice thinkin Nytro :)... here's a better idea.... scan your plate, or take a photo of it, and have a sign shop digitally imprint a smaller copy of it onto vinyl film? A decal essentially. That would be more user friendly then a laminated piece of paper and stand up to the eliments better. I make digital decals all the time..... this would work?? Just try to get the Gov't to agree? Makes way too much sence for them??? Even if they could understand english?
