Sled deck on 1/2 ton?

So I did my own test ... got everything loaded for my trip on my 2017 F-150... which includes a full lotus deck, 800 axys, all my gear, extra 160L of gas under deck, tire chains and tools ... went over to my local scale and oh **** ....

Front axle = 1550kg rated 1633kg

Rear axle = 1990kg rated 1724kg

Total truck = 3530kg rated 3198kg

So I'm over 587lbs on my rear axle and 732lbs on total truck ...

This was an eye opener as I always thought I was at legal weight with just one sled on my 150 ....

Well those engineers always overbuild stuff. I am sure there is still room for a second sled...maybe not a Yamaha though

You’re not legal with just the deck let alone the sled!

Leave the gas at home. Leave the chains at home. Replace tires with properly sized winter tires in lieu of chains.

160L of gas and tire chains do not add up to 700 plus pounds! Still be over weight with that one sled.

But I do have winter tires and all the gear I need to get up the hill with out holding up all you guys pulling enclosed trailers...

After reading this thread thought maybe someone putting and honest remark in would be good for once.

I don't have a scale ticket as it was the small self checker scale with the digital gauge..

Anyways you all have a safe sledding season !!!

Recheck your math, you are over but not as much as you think.
1633 and 1724 is 3357 and 1550 plus 1990 is 3540.
Difference of 183kg or about 400# unless I am miss reading somethin.
You need a lighter deck like an LPI.
How much your deck weigh.
I would have thought the new aluminum fords would be legal with two sleds.

No gas and no chains and you should be legal.

Your truck should have between 2800 and 3200# payload according to ford specs. Can't see where you used up that much payload????

I am also surprised that you can't haul two sleds let alone one!
But then I am not privy to your trucks factory setup.
