How many welders are on here all I want to say is with 2 sleds your only 4-500 over weight my welding rig is 1ton over weight like everyone else welding trucks give or take a few hundred pounds and my front end stays on the highway and handles just fine! Welder is in a 1 ton but still thats 2000 pounds over! Trucks are way under rated like everything else!

No kidding... I see 2500 diesels with a big ol 300D jammed in sideways, 2 sets of torch bottles, rod, cables and reels, extra steel, tools and tool boxes, table and vice, hungover helper, beer cooler, cab full of **** and a microwave... Run er!... She's all good!!! Lol

I've seen a pile of half tons this year (obviously with airbags) two sleds or quads on a deck. Fish cops must be letting it go again cuz there's no way in hell 2 sleds, gear, couple riders full fuel tanks ect would be with in gvw. Even a 7700 gvw f150 would be tight at 5800 lbs empty with 200 fuel, 200 gear, 400 occupants, 400 deck, 1200 sleds is 8200.

Had a 2000 gmc 1500 with bags. 2 sleds and gear. Got pulled over few years back in bc. Not a word was said. He did do a walk around. But think my bags and new tires and the fact I had all emblems taken off helped. Short box to with a 8x8 deck. Ran that set up for years.

Maybe on a 2wd regular cab long box. If you want a quad cab, 4x4, leather, nav, heated/cooled seats; kiss that payload number goodbye. All truck manufacturers advertise the model with the highest payload.

The newer dodge 1500 has a 3150 payload so i dont think your gear and 2 sleds depending on sleds would be over weight with a deck
Weird, biggest number I see is 1780 for the 2015's.

2 sleds at most are 1200 2 people say 400 to be safe and gear ill say 1000 but it would definitely be less then that the the deck is 300 thats 2900 so i should be good im aloud 3150 payload

What type of dodge 1500 do you have?????? I was just on there website and a crew cab sport with the 5'7" box only has a payload of 1417 lbs. I would check and double check before you decide to go with a sled deck on you 1500.

Also, do you think a truck that weighs 5800 is safe to drive with 3000 lbs of payload. there is a reason why 1/2 ton trucks have a low payload numbers.

I have a sport half ton, and even if it said that the truck is capable of 3000 lbs of payload i would never do it. Just my 2 cents!!
