^^^^ Can't say I like it or agree with it, but if he has a light on the end of the track I believe it's legit. I think he badly needs a deck extension imho though.

If you don't have a light is it ok to let your sled idle (so the tail light is lit up)?
Ummm, no.

Like for hours? When is the last time you were pulled over to check the length of overhang?

If you are worried, go buy a $12 bike light from Canadian Tire and bungey cord it to the back of the sled. In the daytime, you only need a red ribbon.
