I just got back from ridin in the Golden Radium area on sun...sled was taking ridiculous snow into the intake. Running iso everyday...One point had a ball of ice the size of a tennis ball in the upper intake. Never did it the first trip, but we weren't in snow like this either. Had two buddies with me on a 09 D8 and an 08 rmk 700 and they had no moisture or snow in there airbox at all. Sled started hard the next two mornings. Gauge wasn't lighting up, and would only idle around 900 rmp, had to keep it running with the throttle and it eventually would idle normal and the gauge would light up.After getting home and sittin in the heated shop overnight, it didn't matter what ya did still doin it.

Took it into Rainy Creek on monday and they called me yesterday and told me I'm getting a new motor. Guy didn't seem to know what they were doin about my airbox. Wasn't the regular guy I think. Parts are supposed to be in next week. Call back next week and see what there doin.

I know guys were siliconing arount the headlight and around the seam of the air intake to the hood inside. Another thing is the headlight adjuster knob some guys were just using velcro and making a cover for it, so they can take it off and adjust the light, and recover it.

Another thing some guys have done is to just cover the airhorn sticking out of the upper intake with the slp prefilter material. All kind's of thing's a guy can do...shouldn't have to though...damn polaris..first poo for me...I love the sled...just funny cause I remember years ago the grief all the poo guys had with air boxes filling with snow, we'd be sittin on our cats waitin for them to bang all the sno outta their filters lol....looks like they haven't quite figured it out yet..lol...oh...08 D8 around 1200miles...on the chassis!! Is that a selling feature...brand new motor??????lol
