I have the skinny all round, on a 900 ranger. would like the wide on rear as that is where most of the weight is. may not get stuck as much.

Skinny/wide for sure because when you get in the mud your front tires cut a trench if the backs are the same width there is no new ground for them to grab so they don't pull you forward just down

A lot has to do with the position of your tires......for example Larrys are usually facing the sky with little or no contact to the ground. So in his case ,any combo is fine...........

Skinny/Wide I have found to be what suits me best and I ride same conditions as yourself. But this fall I changed to Outlaw 2's from 28" Zillas,.. OL2's are the boss haha, nothing like 6-8' side roosters burning through a snow field.

This was last spring. There was about ten of us out. These tires and quads amaze me. Not many quads will chew and wheelie through snow like that. Through it in reverse after this and backed right out.

lol, looked like you were hoping a bit and caught some traction. I was in Edson, on the ranger just before Christmas, thought I could push through a plowed snow bank, well it was froze solid, went about 4 ft or so in the air, cleaned the shorts, didn't do that again.

I guess it does kind of look like that. Lol. Should of been a video I guess. Nice wheelie ten to twenty feet before that nice stop where I trenched down

I have two sets of wheels, 25" summer 8" wide front and 10" rear and i ride mostly trails and dirt roads during summer time... but in the winter i want the tires to be as wide as possible all around so i can be floating on top of the snow so i have 26" and 10" wide tires both front and rear.. i would even prefer to go bigger 28" and 12" wide if you have plenty of power... but for a single set i would go skinny / wide
