It's a pile of ****. Someone knocked off a thing cooker can. I saw one at the sled show, cant remember what sled shop had one on their sled. The muff pot doesn't fit tight in the can and rattles around. Welding looks nice for typical ching chong yang manufacturing but everything else was piss poor.

Seen it at the sled show as well. Did not fit snug at all and would not last if that's the way they're built. IMO.

I don't think they look to bad. The non cooker can looks better. The probe placement is better.

You guys seriously think the thing can is quality built? It looks like a **** sandwich IMO, haven't they heard of a mandrel bend?? I don't see any ceramic coating on the cans?

How about Neil's Power Pipes? their stuff looks good. Or MBRP..

I just picked up this 17 X from Westlock and it has their can on it. Im not really a fan of the loud cans but this thing effing screams! It looks pretty well built and there’s enough room with installed for a rolling Mac tool chest
no ideas about power loss though. B0D60B81-D480-4626-A70B-C36AC76EC9ED.jpg

if this is the can cooker your talking about
yah i had one
cooks great
stake onion and raw potatoes in about 45 minutes to perfection
down fall
had 2 baffles one up top
one down below
caused a major bog at 6000+ ish rmp and would not rev any higher
i ended up cutting out both baffles which got rid of the bog (which was a challenge but i did it)
but then the loud noise of the can
i tried contacting the said manufacture by email and never did get a response from them
have sense sold the can
didn't notice any rattling noise as i cut out the bottom of the smaller top pan and added it to the lower portion of the cooker
for a larger area to cook in
hope this helps

A little birdie told me west lock ordered a "thing" to discuss a possible deal to sell them. Copied with a bit of shine... same can for 600 and 800 if I remember correctly, Doesn't sound "well tuned" to me

Yes, there are some posts from Al himself on here about what happened. I don't cotton to people who steal "inventions" whether or not they are in the right (no copyrights). Al and Pete have tested their cans (theThing) at elevation and modified until they were satisfied with the power bands. They have been around the block a time or two and know what they are doing. Great cans and great people to work with.

after having the other can on now.
the chrome can did seem to cook better in about 45 minutes
the last 2 rides my baby potatoes were still uncooked
had some frozen spring rolls in the new can and after about an hr they were still a little cold.
go figure because they look the same for sure

I ran one of the standard on my gen 4 for 2 weekends. Major mid range bobble and loud as sh*t. On the pin it was good other than that meh. Like the suitcase better.

id bet if you cut out that little cage thinggy in side the can (spark arester) you'd get rid of the bog.
too much flow restriction
had the same problem with mine worked great after words no bog and cooked really good.
