I would not be scared of 3.5 pounds of boost.

No 3.5 pounds at sea level, what ever elevation you are at it adds 3 .5 pounds, so at 8,000 feet, 4 pounds + 3.5 =7.5
The bikeman flash just gave you full boost at any elevation.
Called it +2.5psi

All depends on what a guy wants and how much you even care about warranty. Some guys have deeper pockets than others and couldn't care less about paying out of pocket. But then why buy a factory low boost turbo in the first place and void the warranty?? May as well buy a holdover sled and throw on an aftermarket turbo kit for roughly the same price as the factory turbo 850. Then you can have it built and clutched to whatever boost you are wanting to run. With the exact same warranty.......zero.

Sled doesn’t need a tune or more boost, it runs flawlessly and definitely feels like more than 165hp at elevation. If you’re doing hillclimbs all day, more boost would be great and also a 175”.

This maybe a bit off topic but has anyone with the new turbo bought extra warranty on it? Wondering what that’s worth? Or run the factory 1 year than turn the boost up? Not sure if it’s true but I heard 1500$$ a year for extended warranty.

For you guys needing Warrenty there is always ways around it.. second ecm is easy to purchase and brp sees nothing, guys with diesel trucks been doing that for years, dealer no better off..

first thing i did in the maverick x3 was get ecm flashed, and it takes a lot of the emission crap out quick, cleans up response and any ugly in stock code, the added hp is usually with in the safety brp left in code to keep sleds fat.. enjoy, year from now it will be the norm

except they don't but they will take your money and make you stand in a line that does not exist while you wait....
And then there is the other flash.
Known to be lean above 5psi already.

Doo didn't put bigger injectors in these new turbo sleds did they?

If they didn't same story as before.

I got a quote for 2 year from BEST 2050 dollars. and have up to 11 months after you buy the sled to get warranty.

Hmmm, I have been told by a couple different dealers that only 1 extra year was available.

Why can't do be more transparent about the warranty on this machine.

Are these tunes you wrote yourself or somebody else's? Is there any way to
Fool the ecu and be able to
Put it back to stock for warranty claims? More info please

Sorry I’ve been up in northern sask for the last few days and had no cell service or internet. These tunes are Silber tunes and are reasonable priced. Your ecu can be flashed back to stock but no guarantee that BRP can’t tell it’s been flashed. If your really worried about warranty you could always buy a second ECU from doo for $900 and have it reflashed. The reflash is less than the cost of the new ECU.

Nope cannot do that anymore. Buying a second ecm will also void the warranty.

Anyone that breaks the paint seal on certain electrical connections, and mechanical linkages, will have the warranty voided.

Ideally you need to change the ecm, injectors that are mated to the ecm. dess key and gauge. then it will not need to go to the dealer.
