Is it just me, or are those rubber thingy's under the ski spindles failing pre-maturely?

I have had 2 fail on my '13 XM, as with buddy's T3, 2 went on his and one also went on another friend's '14.

In all the years, I never saw such a bad track record. I know they are cheap, but It sure makes the ski bend back and I almost went over the bars a couple of times. LOL

Had one split on me last weekend. Mind you it was on impact. But that was the only thing that split bent or broke so in that regard I'm happy. But I'm a bit surprised that it split with only 1500 km on the sled

Pretty typical wear part. I don't know what the solution is because skis are much more expensive to replace and that's likely what would fail next. Maybe a harder durometer

Yeah they are a wear part. I wreck them about every 1500km. Only 20$ each.

they seem to just have a breaking point regardless of miles. could fail one on the first ride or it could last 3 seasons. as soon as the ski extends too far up the spindle punctures the rubber and thats that!

Yeah mine are a bit overdue for a change, have to grab some next time I'm in the city. 1900 or so km on them.

Mine are still good, 3500 km..

Even had one ski fold back to the pull cord on the side panel in submarine incident

I was wanting to try finding something to replace them with a poly bushing instead. My race sleds go through them pretty fast. Maybe because I'm harder on them but it sucks replacing every season.

I had one split the first trip out on my 14 xmx. The trail was pretty rough but only had maybe 300km. Then a second one just split with 3200km or so. Another guy I ride with changed two already in as many seasons as well. My 08 had 3700km and never split any thou.
