Ski Hill cams showing snow - yes I know it will melt

I see some of the ski hill cams have a fresh coating of snow over the tops of the hills. Kicking Horse showing some from yesterday, as I am sure it will melt today.

Still makes me happy though. The leaves are falling off the trees quite quickly. Even though the remainder of September is set to be mild things could turn quickly for October if we can get some cold air to start freezing that precip into November!

That leaf turning is an interesting phenomenon. In Calgary, a lot of the big poplars/elms/maples are getting into full color but I noticed on the drive home last evening that in the Porcupine Hills on #22 that there were no yellow leaves. Not the alders/willows/poplars.

We have a skiff at 8000' this morning. Let it snow......

Was at the cabin in golden this weekend, there was skiffs of snow throughout the entire weekend here. As well the maple tree in the front yard has red leafs this weekend :d

%90 of the Kicking Horse snow already melted...Lake Louise is not far behind...I am guessing BigWhites metled as I don't see any...

Too warm here for the snow to stick around. Two pictures of the same mountain and as the sun rises it looks like something from Utah......
