I believe Tss is running this controller on there kits now. Looks similar to boost-it box, but no on the fly tuning box yet from what I've seen. I'd go boost-it box over redline, boost-it has been proven to work.

correct tss has them but it seems theres very little info on them as they are a new company. Don't get me wrong boost it I think has it figured out. but if I was a different kit I cant just buy a boost it box. where as I can buy a silber turbo or a some other kit and get a redline box and mix match with it if you know what im saying. I also realy like the was silbers new set up is for the etec with the kpa self lubing turbo and external waste gate. but the fuel box they have is s***t. I don't think I can buy that kind of kit from boost it with an external waste gate and self lubing turbo without buying the high end kit

Not sure I would say all needs them in sledding world.. Lots of builders have built kits for years.. Aero, impulse, Boondocker, and lots of guys pushing 8 +lbs and done it for years.. Comes down to kit efficiently.. Properly sized turbo, short charge tubes, efficient air boxes, inlet air location, and tuning can keep charge temps to adequate temps

keep in mind a a/w is not far off a 20lb increase and motor congestion to your sled..

added a charge temp gauge years ago to Aerocharger to mod sled system and it runs very efficient.. Maybe as efficient as the a/w out there..

Cooler air = more power. Low boost kits usually don't have them. Higher boost kits need them or the intake air would be too hot and detonation would happen much easier.

How much research or experience do you have with that kpa self lube turbo?

Here's mine, I try not to diss products I've haven't had experiences with but you wouldn't pay me enough to run that piece... we have one in our group who always has to ride a spare sled, from blown turbos, grease pouring from the centre housing, blown apart external waste gates, he's on his 3rd turbo after his 3rd trip to Tappen and it still runs like the biggest POS on the hill.

I'm happy with an authentic turbo, one that's been in the industry for years and one thats proven, with less stuff to break like external waste gates, got to love trying to put one of those back together one the side of the hill in -10, another thing they are not telling people that KPA turbo needs to be re-built every year, and even then, sloppy bearings and grease everywhere, no thanks personally I rather have a garret

Well that is news I haven't read... I know there lots of guys that put down certain turbo kits not because of the parts that make them but because of who makes them and because it's not the highest end kit with the overpriced wideband and the intercooler with the napa water pump that's 2000 bux. That being said I haven't read to much into the kpa turbos maybe I should take a gander for myself. But I d ok notice that tss is using those turbos with their kits? I was just assuming that if the bigger names were using them that they would have passed the test? and I really was looking forward to having no oil tank and what not.

That's just my experiences, I try to tell it how it is, if it works it works if it dont, it dont, don't care who's kit it is. I have a KPA oil pump turbo as well and it works fine, but the sled with all the problems is straight from TSS, KPA self lube

So the oiled kpa turbo is good... it's just the self lubed ones having issues?

Do you rebuild that kpa turbo you got every year? Or is that only self lubed ones?

Nope only had bad experiences with the self lube turbos, kpa oil pump turbo seems to be fine other then burning oil, the boost it garret doesn't seem to burn oil yet, also the tank is vented with a roll over valve, the KPA tank is not, not sure if that has anything to do with it

If you want a self contained turbo go with AeroCharger. If Boost-it used AeroCharger's turbo's,, that'd be the best kit around.

I see boondocker has tank less turbo's for the pro's and they are fed with factory oil pump. they are also garret turbos as well what are your thoughts on those? I wonder if we can get them for doo's?

Not to stir the pot but do you not think you have asked enough turbo questions on every turbo thread imaginable?

If nobody else is going to say it then I will as I am sure there are many that are feeling the same way and this is getting old.

Do some research and make your mind up already its about time you make a decision and quit asking everyone on every post repeat questions as these posts are getting old.

LOL i think ill ask as many questions as I please and gather as much info as i feel is necessary. Thanks! OH while we're at it not only do i think its rude you would say sh*t like that to people on here. I don't think anyone else gives a fawk about how you feel in regards to other people's threads. Im trying to figure this turbo thing out for myself, i wasn't aware i had to clear that with you. IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING HELPFUL TO POST save your self the time cause you end up being a douche.

Save your attitude for someone else, I posted as polite as I could given the nature of your posts. Do you not think there is a reason nobody has replied to your show me around Blue lake thread yet????????????????????????

Really MR sue me over my pistons because I didn't break them in properly, lets not go there.

I am 110 percent certain that there are many more than myself that are feeling the same way. Difference is I am not afraid to lay it out there and say it like it is. so take that for what its worth and maybe use it as a learning tool

anyhow back on topic. borg warner, garret , and kpa turbo's have tank-less options do you think boost -it could supply the same turbo kit just with a charger that doesn't require a tank?

Get over it already BOOST IT works, why would they want to add a tank when there **** works and there customer service is top notch?

They are not going to add it to keep you happy I can tell you that, because everyone else is more than happy period.

If you want to play with fire and run a heintz 57 all the power to ya.
