Jay:

I have used both - and prefer the Tekvest. Most shots you take are to the chest - and I feel the TekVest has a little more padding there. Not to say that the Six.Six.One is that bad.

I have the full blown with the arm and forearm padding. It was non-restrictive and because it was mesh - relatively cool. It is better than the Tekvest in that respect. I think the back padding on both is about the same. Since all I do is mountain riding know - I didn't think I needed the arm and forearm protection any more. (But came in real handy a few times when I did a lot of tree slogging around Edson)

Mine has been sitting in the trailer for 2 years. If you are interested - send me a pm and maybe we can make a deal.

I have the first one from last year its red, I like mine, tonnes of back protection, the chest area is a bit smaller but would protect ya from bars etc.. the arms and elbow protection is nice in around trees or when you are rolling down the mountain with a sled chassing ya, very comfy and light,
DOO it..

I saw it in the Royal Distributing cataloque,

Barefooter - which one do you have?? Is it one of these?

I have the '08 pressure suit in the top pic, works great for the dirt bike but might be too restrictive for sledding by the time you have all the gear on. did it fit under your sled gear JT? mine makes my jacket too tight

fits with one of my jackets, u need the right coat for sure, I dont like the over the coat set up,
fits with beacon, pak, radio, but again maybe bring a jacket when trying one on. might not be the best set up for bigger guys.

let it snow I can not wait any more,

I think it will work great under the SS jersey, with the spine protector attached it is very warm. I'm sure if I was wearing it or a tekvest during my big crash of '04, it would've saved my sternum and ribs. bars got the sternum, beacon broke the ribs.

661 is a mountain bike company, mainly. Their armour is designed to be worn in warm temps so it's very well vented. It's also designed for real good movement. I wear the Azonic z-6.

a lot of guys wear tekvest wich has similar coverage, its like anything some guys have ABS paks some just have beacon, its more coverage but ya feel it and get to carry it all day,
you would be fine with the core saver, because it saves your internals from big hits, u can break your arm off and still live but punctured lung not much time to get out when u are 40km deep in the backcountry to get to the hospital:d

If your in Calgary then I'd check out Bow cycle or Calgary cycle in the mountain bike side. The moto shops don't normally stock the under jersey style but the MTB shops do. I've had the Azonic, the Dianesse and the early 661. They are all pretty simmilar but their sizing is quite different. Most have some plastic on the arms that you might not like but when you need it . . .

Mine is the pressure suit - the top one in the pic. The back protection and the kidney belt zip off if you are wearing a pack.

I can't find the size - I think it was an XL. I am 6'1" and 180lbs and I can wear a T-shirt and tneck under it when I sled.

Hey Man, I use the core saver for DH biking in the heat of the summer. It is great and takes a lot of abuse; the best part about it is that it’s not too hot! I would recommend it for sure!

Core Saver is junk I ordered it from bike bandit and sent it back right away I ended up with the Icon Field armor for street bikes only 100 from bike bandit! I have a full pressure suit form last year that I love just to many hot zones... it an AXO good deal but I wanted something for just the core this year!!

i wear the EVS Revolution 4
it was one of the only ones i found that has a soft shell and still has plastic on the chest
biggest thing is that if you hit the bars, yo can spread out the impact
rather than one spot

attached is a pic
i bought minr brand new on ebay for $45
its one size fits most......im 6'2" and 200...it fits me fine
not restrictive at all and fits under my fleece and coat

heres their website

Just bought a Klim Tek Vest on the weekend. Seems comfortable. I took a good hit with the bars in the chest late in the season after Christmas. Nothing broke but one heck of a nice green and blue bruise! Somtimes it still hurts when I sneeze. I don't want to go through that again.
