I put a piece of ply wood in the box to protect my box liner. And i have a ramp from princess auto. 400$ total cause ply wood was expensive at the time 😂

I made this outta C chanel on the sides and 2”x1/4 flat for the cross beams. Except at the end I used 1x1 tubing to support the weight of the sled. You could make the same outta aluminum and it’d be even lighter. Ramp slides in underneath. Tailgate got pitted a bit but not bad. Could put that clear protective stuff on your tailgate if you want

That looks great. not exactly what I want to do but it still looks great. How long did you make your ramp? Also what are the white superglides you have there? I never have seen ones like this before.

I believe the ramp is 7.5 feet. It is the same length as the deck. And I made the length equal to my 2016 short box 1/2 ton with the tailgate down. The glides are puck board from hockey rink boards. I grooved them with the dado blade on the table saw. Super durable

Honestly if I was going to live the revy sled bum lifestyle for a winter I would rock a sheet of ply wood with a shitty pre destroyed tailgate. Then spend my single loader sled ramp fund on making sure I had a long box with a tall fiberglass topper on it. As much as I hate tarping, I really hate a salty sled. That’s the dream. As for now I will keep pulling an enclosed and being a weekend warrior.

I use a marlon single loader. It’s fine but don’t like the tailgate exposed and don’t like lack of storage in box, and it’s easy to steal if a sled isn’t sitting on it. For my half ton 6.5 box was looking at limitless tonneau with sled setup but it’s crazy money and I suspect tough resale. Really thinking about getting a truckboss without slides or just a standard deck and use as a single with sled in middle, at least there’s resale on it and lots of used available. Internal debate gives me a headache!

I really like the back yard bolt-ons on the best but I started fabbing up the recramp style. just don't know of anyone that has one. I cant seem to find the hinge in Canada, only in the States. its like the hinge on the top of a ladder, looks like this picture. If you know of anywhere I could find these in Canada let me know. its called a hinge lock assembly or inner lock kit or if I could just find a damaged ladder I could recycle some parts. thanks in advance!
