Single Axle Flip

Is there anyone that can perform this surgery on my camper?

My question is why?

Whoever flips that axle will need to weld a new spring seat to the topside (see below), you can't just flip that axle, it is precambered from the factory and must retain it's original orientation to ensure proper tire camber, this is essential to maintaining tire and wheel bearing life.

I did the exact same job with a welder/mechanic buddy. Took about a day and a half. Mine was a two axle unit. Took twelve hours for the first axle and two for the second. You can buy everything you need to do the job at Princess Auto. For a two axle unit it cost about $300 in parts. DM's are open if you have questions.

Thought you said “City spring” at first glance.

I wouldn’t recommend them! I tried 2 separate jobs and ended up with 6 bald tires.

Another vote for Alberta Spring. I bought a new axle for my sled trailer from them. A 3500lb axle with all the trimmings was around $300.00 if i remember right?

that's a good price, I might have to call them for axles for the hunting trailer.

I need a new 3500 lb torsion axle for my sled/atv trailer. I was going to try city spring but haven’t heard much good about them so I think I’ll try Alberta spring instead

I've done two trailers on my own, but the last trailer I had Standens do it. For the price for them to do it, I dont know if i'd do it again. It was also nice for them to do a quick alignment to know that my tires wouldnt have any uneven wear.

I think it was 700 bucks for them to flip the axles, put in greaseable joints, heavy duty shackles, new U bolts, repack the bearings, and do an alignment on my 8000lb camping trailer. They make axles too if you do need a replacement!
