I've never liked the ramp setup as it is to begin with anyone who isn't afraid of not strapping these ramps has never had a atv flip over on them.

I had just a Trike flip back on me when I was younger and it HURT bad . I had a soar neck for along time and it was so heavy it pinned my helmet to the ground for along time under the bars took me quite some time to even flip it off me.. then I had to get it running again with a soar neck in the middle of no where..

now imagine your on a 850XT polaris .. You flip off the ramps it lands on you.. your alone and off in the middle of no where.. There is 3 things that can happen here.. 1 your pinned and end up laying there until you die.. 2 you die right away 3 you barely escape with your darn life..

Chain em/ strap em up every time imho.

This starts another discussion about HEAVY atv's and the direction we are pushing the industry in.. the heavier these things get imho the more dangerous they get. a bike you can get away from in a crash a ATV you can not.

Well it's no wonder that the ramps slipped. He had the ramps on hard ground and he had no momentum going up the ramps. You always have to tie them down in a situation like that. A little common sense would have averted his mishap.

I rolled my quad last week(honda) and I can tell you that I am glad it is a lightweight, not a poopoo or AC. All I kept thinking was to keep rolling until I knew this thing had stopped. Everytime I looked up, all I saw was underbelly of quad, so I kept rolling. I had on chest protector, helmet, boots, gloves.I came out of it with a sore right arm for a few days. I am thinking if it was a heavier machine, might it have rolled farther?

Geez those are so whimpy ramps he has there, plus wheres his helmet at least.Like I preach to the kids if the quad is moving and your on it you NEED a helmet, its hard to instill this in them when we always seem to meet people not wereing them, even on this site I see pictures of guys playing without the helmet on,not setting a very good examples to the new riders out there.I personally think you should wear atleast a helmet, gloves, long pants and boots.I wear all the gear and its saved me MANY times.Just my thoughts.
