Anybody been in? Just curious if everything has slid in Avy Alley. Thinking of going in this weekend but don't want to risk it if the conditions are too bad in that section.

The first time back there was pretty sketchy without anyone that had been back. Great area once you are into it though, one of my personal favorites. Not a place for Novice riders either in my opinion, the first climb could shake up someone without experience.

It's funny you say that, the last time I was in there we were coming out, end of the day, found these two couples stuck on the last hill just past avy alley, stuck about 3/4 up the hill, both women's sleds buried on their sides. Guys were not sure what to do, all novice riders. someone told them it would be a great place to go for a nice relaxing ride... like wft?

Got their sleds turned around and got them to the bottom of the hill by the ponds, then we had to book it because we were almost on fumes, and still had 35 kms to the trucks. Didn't hear about anyone going missing so we figured they made it back OK, would have liked to escort them out but I didn't have the fuel to putz along at 25 k/hr or I would have been the one needing a tow.

Wow sounds like a real goat roping for sure..........

We took a couple novices in one spring thinking the snow should be setup enough for them to get around. That eventually turned into a yard sale involving 2 of them and an old Cat followed by one of them driving into a creek and breaking his leg, luckily the guys from the Bobbi Burns lodge would pick him up with the chopper and get him to the lodge. Lucky as well that we were all from the patch so we knew first aid.

This time of year i wouldn't take anyone that isn't an experienced rider in and make damn sure everyone has extra fuel! (Don't have to say make sure everyone has their Avy gear and first aid stuff cause.....well.....that shouldn't even be optional in my opinion)

Looking more like we are heading towards Revy/Sicamous this weekend but still undecided. Weather is looking sketchy everywhere but with a low ceiling and high elevation riding Revy seems like a good idea.
