So there is a crazy amount of avalanche debris on the silver mines roads. About 1km up off the Vermont turn off. Third switch back. This will effect early and obviously late season riding.

Anyone interested in going up in a month or so to clear the path? I figure 3 saws minimum, more like 5-6!

Is this a recent event or the one that was there before?

Not sure as it was my first time there this year but all the tree are green. So fairly recent or sometime this year.

The one that was there beginning of the season. Snow fill melting away.
I was there March 16-17 and the slide was maybe 100 feet wide. Could get through no problem. Maybe melting conditions have changed things.

Was hoping to get back there for a final ride of the year mid May. I assume that is still doable?

Anyone been in here lately? Wondering about access, snow depth and staging km.

recently, haven't heard a thing. Snow levels in the area, below 5000, seem to be lacking alot. buddy went up to CMH lodge and noted there is mayby 1.5-2ft down there.

Side note, we are going up this year to clear a proper path out. june/july. hopefully i can find some volunteers to help out.

Thanks for the info. Crazy low snow for that area for sure. We might take a chance and go camp for a couple day ride.

How far did your buddy drive his vehicle?

I’d help clear a path in June/July, but unfortunately I will be away

Went in here middle of August. Cleared some more logs out of the mudslide and took the Samurais to the tailings ponds. There has been a few huge slides come down the big avy paths and the access for summer is getting tough.
