Ya should have just kept my mouth shut. Came on here to post a couple pics of the slide I triggered, and took some comments the wrong way. The circumstances in which my buddy had his pack on his sled (ripped shoulder strap) was discussed on the way in. It was a calculated risk to go through avy ally single file with repeated radio and visual contact. We had a fun, safe day and hope the other group did as well.

Pretty big area. Only a couple groups at a time. Best to always go say high is my view!!

Anyone been in to the mines lately? Have the slides come down on the way in yet?

Not sure about the mines but there was a Avy cycle that did hit golden area. If they have not come down, tread very lightly as another storm will be coming in and the sun for this weekend will definitely set up ideal conditions for slides.

Was up there on Tuesday. Parking at 17. Ride in wasn't too whooped up. Big stuff hasn't run yet. Temp swings could bring down stuff this week. Was really good up on the lakes.

Smaller slides all over the place and one came across the road while we were in there. 4 days of hot weather this week makes a tic toc for anyone doing hill climbs. We stayed to the safe slopes.

in deed ol' blue. I was the fat fawk on the black XM with black gear and beard dumping my spare fuel in the sled, the guy that you asked about the cabins....we'll have to have an introduction next time.
