For those of you who have been back to Silent Pass, how far is the trail back into the riding area? From what can find on the net it look like 80km in and 80km out. Is this right? It seems like a long way to just to get back in there to ride. You would have to pack a lot of fuel up there with you. Anyone have any feeback on how your trips in there have been?

Its not that far in there. We park at km 21 and then its a 25km ride to the trail then from there its about 10 miles to the water fall and then climb the water fall then you will be on the lake and then you cut throught the trees a little any you are there.

I was up there a few weeks back and the road was ploughed to 40km for active logging. Not sure what is going on now. Anyone been up recently?

So basically you can drive up as far as you can and park on the edge of the road? Is there active loggging trucks on that road? or designated parking areas? Anyone have any good maps?

there is pullout ploughed right now. just make sure your not in the way or they may tow you.

download google earth and you can explore the area as if you were there. After that you may not even need to go....

Here's a good map...

It's roughly 36km from the 17km turnaround spot up to Silent Lake. If you can drive up further it makes the trail shorter.

Last few years the road has been plowed to the 21km, lots of parking there. From the 21km mark the trail is 43km to the lake!! It's a great riding area, but you need to pack gas if you are on anything over 600cc.
