Quick question, has anybody tried to remove stock can
and replace with aftermarket ? That spring on the back side
of silencer is a *******! Do need to remove whole top cowling?
Thanks in advance! Cheers! This is on 2014 m8000.

Put my new can on today by only taking off the side panel. Lots of blood and swearing. Take the top off. Probably save you a whole lot of grief.

yup, take side and hood off.. only a few extra clips ect and it keeps the blood in your body not leaking from your knuckles.. easy install

I just borrowed a pair of side cutters from a tech in the shop when I picked mine up tonight. Didn't have to take anything off. Next one will be way easier because I'll know where the springs are

You can use a skate lace to get at the ugly springs. Slide it through and you get all the length you need to pull.
