i'm thinking she was standing over your shoulder as you typed this :d:d IMO it does not matter how much you make per hour , day , or month. but you are entitled to your opinoin , and i knew this thread would have it's ups and downs ,,...............thanks :beer:

Hey its all good buddy, I rely heavily on you welders, so I will put up with a lot of crap LOL

Just love to bug you guys though since you do make good bucks, and yet always complain, and I am by no means pickin on you I mean ALL welders (at least the ones I work with).

I couldnt do it without you guys, but seriously could we get through one day without complaining LOL We had a real crap day today, cold and rained all day and we worked through it, my welder must of went through 4 or 5 pairs of gloves...we razzed him pretty good today then he started getting pissy about being wet and getting shocked so we tackled him and we mud wrestled LOL

Turned a crappy day into another beer drinkin story.

PS-your wife isnt here...but mine IS, and she is standing over MY shoulder now...

Take care!

Question though, if the wife spends so much how do people not see it coming? I check my account statements monthly even know only I use it to keep track of spending. If there isn't a lot more going in then out it will NOT happen next month. If a wife was draining my bank account and I was working hard to buy herself ch!t, it would end instantly. I mean if she's taking care of your kids, it's different obviously but no matter what you cannot spend more or even as much as you bring in.

But then again, is some or a lot of the spending legit? I mean, a wife and 2 teenage DAUGHTERS ain't cheap no matter what. Teenagers always want money, just tell them to get a job if they want to buy stuff

All jokes aside this is a really sad and revelent thread that speaks to the fact that an awfull lot of us make huge mistakes when we are young and end up living pretty unhappy lives
We choose our partners when we are too young to even know ourselves, let alone have the ability to know what we need in a mate.
Some people change over time and other don't, leaving an ever widening gap that often we lose interest in attempting to bridge.
For many of us work becomes our entire idendity and we lose the ability to draw the balance between work and home. The patch fosters this mentality with it's 24 hour a day 7 days a week attitude.
We fight and bicker and hold on because that's what society, family and religion tell us to.
For those of you lucky or intelligent to make the right choices the first time around, I applaud and envy you. You truely have success if you are happy in your home and your partner.I guess the rest of us lost souls need to carry on and hope that one day we find peace, happiness and someone to share our days with.

You have a good point here...but there is a way out!!!

I was married when I was 21...13 months later I realized that this person was going to ensure I had a tough, unhappy, sad, broke life...she immediately started sucking the life and $$ out of me the second she said "I do"...kicked her out (no kids) ...that was in 89'.

Remarried in 97' ... choose very wisely the second time...got one daughter, awesome wife, toys and a very happy life...there is a way out. Made sure we both had the same outlook and respect for the next 45 years.

One thing nobody has ever said in this thread...GTFOff the couch and get a job...why do you have to work while she sits at home eating cheezies and watching Days Of Our Lives.

Anyhow...I still know a guy :d

Ponyboy i feel your pain , and i can hear all the things you hear " You just dont understand" yes i am sick of hearing that also. I do not care if you THINK you have an issue. I know there is an issue and it needs to be cleaned up. The things that have pilled up are one day going to come crashing down , and i wont be there to clean it up..... Too much crap and not enough space to keep it in. If it was not for young kids i would have pushed the piles over let them crash to the ground and walked over them to leave

Fear, mostly is what it boils down to. Fear of hurting our kids, fear of hurting our spouses, who we may not want to be with but still care about. Fear of the unknown, fear of being alone. Fear of the fact that maybe we are the problem and are afraid of destroying lives only to find ourselves unhappy in six months time.
These issue's only weigh on a person more and more as you get older.
I truely feel though if it's not right it never will be, you can only lie to yourself for so long then it just becomes a matter of settling and giving up on yourself and just living it. That is the real tragidy.

feel for ya brother. its tough if both parties cannot see eye to eye. i am one of the lucky ones. was in a chitty relationship going south fast. had one child. made things difficult but got out before she drug me down into her hole with her. took the boy and kicked her in the azz right out the door. met and married my soulmate about 4 yrs later. ya i know guys its sappy "soulmate". but anyways we had our tough times to. got to admit most of it was my bs.:confused: but apparently phoning home to request your fav dinner to be made and i'll be home in an hour doesn't go over very well the first time when you don't show up till 4 am. the second time is even worse. but anyways. you both have to get together and spend time voicing your concerns. both ways. i know it is hard to do because they usually sound like blah blah blah yada yada etc. but i am sure we sound the same way to them. try to find what got you 2 together to start with. my oparents split after about 25 yrs or so. was tough and cant say either is better off now. 28 yrs is a long time. hope all works out in the end.

Man that is rough. I would be tempted to pull chute in your position, but then again, there's lots of variables. As Mike###S said, there will be no plaque given for living a bummed out life. Might as well eliminate the unhappyness. Just my thoguhts.

I've never understood why people stay in relationships that they are not happy in (I’m one of the lucky ones). At one point in time there was obviously a reason why two people got together. Just like someone said though, in time people change and they don't always change together and may tend to grow apart, forgetting what brought them together in the first place. :( As far as staying together for the kids like some couples do, PB I think that your girls are old enough to know the difference between happy parents and not happy parents and I'm sure that they would want both of their parents to be happy. Even really young children know that having mom and dad not getting along and fighting all the time is not right. :nono: Sure, kids can get VERY upset when their parents split. However, when you compare that small moment in their lives to the time that they may spend growing up with parents that no longer love one another or perhaps can't even stand to be around each other it is fairly miniscule in my opinion.

It is also damn near impossible to make others happy when you are not happy yourself.

Life’s too short! :twocents:

She may not be a member here, but keep in mind that in all likelyhood she is just as unhappy as you are.
Both of you deserve to live happy lives
