I personally just make a few holes with the whole saw of various sizes. My reasoning to still to retain the strength of the panel. Hope it helps. Good luck.

done it this way on my brothers m8 and good strength, the m i bought this year has it completly gone and there no where near as stong as the hole saw way.

It depends on the vent construstion. I cut the whole section out on mine but the vents frame is made out of aluminum, so ne strength was lost. If it's a plastic frame vent then you cant cut the whole thing out.

Never did on my doo, didn't notice any snow sneaking by. Shouldn't need anything unless there are gaps between screen and panel

They look a lot better if you peel the decal off before you put the vent on too. Otherwise when the sun shines through the screen your looking at decal with a bunch of black circles missing. :)

got them on, decals were removed....s few more holes on the clutch side then the exaust side, did it mainly for the clutches and belt
