Side by side trailering?

So been pondering what style of trailer is best for a side by side?
I’ll use my toyhauler for most trips but won’t pull that out in winter.

Do the hiboy trailers make it to top heavy? Or do most guys use a lo boy style?
I like the hiboy to protect from rocks etc vs the loboy plus more usable deck space

I use a sled trailer like the one on the left for my RZR XP 1000 It works just fine, not top heavy at all. I find how you tie down the machine really affects the ride though. Mine gets sucked down to the trailer with 4 2" ratchet straps. I find sucking the suspension down makes it ride nicer on the trailer. But I ensure to release them as soon as I get to my destination to take the strain off the suspension.

I used a low boy. Found I couldn't open the doors to get in and out. They hit the side of the trailer walls
So would open them as far as I could. The try standing in the UTV (with a roof) and slipping my legs through the gap

Deck over 20’ tandem 3500 works good ramps are a bit of an issue very narrow. Check your machine before committing. Ended up going with aftermarket rev arc trifolds I am off-road all the time no issues with top heavy. Also look over stake pockets and make sure you can get your size strap hooks in there. Also like the deck over for better ground clearance and less rocks and mud getting all over the SXS

I find the deck over is best .allways nice having 8 foot wide trailer way more useful. I built mine heavy duty so nice having 16 inch tires and no scared of bending it when i fill it 4 feet tall of fire wood.

I use a high one for mine some times a little hard to load if it a slippery but mine is a tilt deck and have to load backwards to get the right tongue weight.
Tie down on the A arms and rides nice.
Still get dirty even with a salt shield and 2 foot sides.

Deck over all the way as trailer tires are same width as truck and debris stays underneath for most part .
If pavement and good roads the tracking isn’t a big deal .

I have a mid-deck made by double A trailers. Best of both worlds. A little lower but still the full 8’6” wide. Make sure the trailer is built well enough to handle the weight. A smaller lighter aluminum trailer will get bounced around by a 1500lb SxS more than a heavier steel trailer will.

Get the one with the low sides and front shields. Tough to clean the side by side and do any repairs with the sides.

Deck over for sure. I use my 12foot 2 place.

E-track and tire ratchets are the best. 2 tire straps and it never moves.

Thx, I never thought about the doors hitting the loboy trailer walls! Great point! The side by side I was looking at is a 2020 Teryx4 LE
Not the most radical marching but it fits in my toyhauler perfectly. And from what I’ve read they are a tough rig, lots of room front and back seats.
I looked at the Polaris General Xp... nice machine, nav , stereo etc but it’s .5 foot too long and $12000 difference!!!
