The Teryx is also a very capable machine with great ride quality, I wouldn’t over look it.

I also had a Teryx-4 and loved it - not as much as the Worverine but was a great machine. I also know a bunch of people who have newer ones and ride with them every weekend with no issues.

One guy in our group has a Honda Talon 1000x - that is a very cool machine. Wildcat Performance with Honda reliability.

Wildcats are junk - My buddy is on his third (glutton for punishment) my 2014 1000x got me 350km and cost me over $7k and still is not right..... that's why I bought the Yamaha

Not total junk. Mine lasted 4000 km at 9800 rip ems before it blew up a con rod. I am merciless on the bumps. I’ve never worn out any an arm bushings to date. Two wheel bearings on the driver side only. weird. Never even blown a belt. Knock on wood took out a motor but other than the XX is a Sherman tank.

Murrays current 2023 XX seems to be doing alright but I think he's still under 2000km, his last one spontaneously combusted after a ton of annoying little break downs & tows and his one before that was a nightmare as well. Mine was a $15K mistake.

I’ve heard of some horrors for sure. Tex has one also. I think he’s broke some stuff too. Imo. Just like a polaris. One must have a five-year warranty. Come July I will be selling mine. Starting off in a new unit again. Full warranty

I'm with drew

2018 xx , 5500 km , bought it used at 4000 km

Did have to do some work , have about 4000 into clutch , trans , bearings ect

Guy never did anything to it and it showed

But nothing has suspension like a xx , nothing is as tough either like drew said

Chit the bearings are bigger than mini van hub bearings

And so capable around here , even tho they are made for dunes

Only thing I don't Like is the hyme joints for ball joints , does not turn sharp , but you will never pop a ball joint out and wreck a day

oh and they're hydrostatic lol so when you're full chooch and you side step the gas pedal by accident going over a big bump... your partner kisses the windshield lol
We have an older model RTV at work, it's so much fun to drive on ice in 2wd. Let off the gas and rear wheels slow down to kick the ass end out. Then back on the gas for a huge power slide. Only would do about 40 kph full out though.

We still run our 2014 ranger crew, we'll over 6000km on it. As the kids crew out of sitting in the back seat and wanted their own rides we looked a upgrading to a 2 seater but could not justify the cost and ended up getting a really good jeep for under 10k. Doesn't require a trailer, fits on all the trails we ride and the places we go. Not really much for getting ready other than regular vehicle maintenance, unless I've broken something on a previous trip, and parts are so common and readily available.

20k in a SxS Doesn't get you much anymore, but 20k in a jeep will go a long ways. Just something to think about

I 100% agree with you. I almost went the Jeep route and would have saved a bunch of $$ and hauls 4 people. But, had to stay with what my buddies got into. A jeep just can't keep up with sxs's and just doesn't have the speed fun factor if that is what you like. Different strokes, but both entertaining.

Jeep doesn't keep up?

I'm never stuck behind a can-am at the drive through or on the hwy.

Just kidding I know what you mean

Nice SxS. Now the fun starts by adding accessories.
Where we ride, I unhooked the sway bars. We don’t ride particularly fast so not worried about the extra stability.
The shocks are fully adjustable too which is a great feature.

I did soften the shock a bit in the rear already but I’ll leave the front alone for now because it will be getting a plow stuck on it probably today. . Guy definitely needs a windshield for sure . Messaged a guy on here $1700 lol i will phone Leduc tomorrow probably and order one unless one of our vendors offers them ?

I'm a big fan of having a full skid plate, it's the difference between getting hung up and sliding right over

First thing I noticed on my Wolverine.... hate the sound of sliding over the rocks but it's better than clunking from part to part - kinda like a crazy carpet.... Main reason I upsized the tires and put a lift on her but I've still bottomed out a few times and am very thankful for the full skid.

From the looks of it the whole middle has a metal skid plate. Nothing on the arms and plastic on the front. Mabey the spring I’ll look into it. Just ordered a windshield and put a new to me plow on it so the fun money is gone 😔
