For those that use the Owls cabin, keep an eye on the firewood. It's exceptionally dry and easy to light right now. Rolled in today around lunch time and someone had split and stacked a nice pile by the stove. There was a small fire going. Some of the pieces of wood stacked nearby had charred from the heat and one was glowing and on the verge of flames. Probably 20 minutes and the whole place would have burned down!

Yikes, I will mention to club perhaps a warning sign is needed.

Yeah I always would stack some cut stuff in the cabin to dry out but never that close to the stove , that’s day one stuff right there

They responded today while I was out of service. Said they would do something to prevent it.

if you know the way once you navigated thru it over to kingfisher it wasn't too bad but a big snow is needed.

Hard to miss it in the current snow conditions although no one else went that way yesterday, we went over around 3:30. KF side has an ice crust so turned around and went home tell it snows

Seen all those sleds parked at Owlhead cabin day before. You guys build big fires. lol
That alpha used to belong to my riding friend. Third engine in it now. I found it easy to tow
