Lost my wife's twin brother Saturday night. A very real reminder of just how quickly life can be taken from us. Not sure what happened exactly. But it sounds like he hit a guard rail and lost his leg causing him to bleed to death on the side of the road. Knowing him, probably wasn't wearing much for gear. Either way I figure it's a valuable lesson and reality check. I know when I was riding, end of summer I was probably over confident on my bikes over the years. Stay safe everyone.

Rip Jesse, you'll be forever missed

Picked this up late last fall 08 Buell XB12 only rode it a few times but looking forward to using it for a gravel road bike
that oil filter loos like it's in a vulnerable place for gravel road travel, I'm not sure about those tires either, could get squirrelly at speed.

Yea I am going to get different tires not sure what I am going to do about the oil filter may have to fab something as it is unlikely I will be able to find the chin deflector.

You may be able to find an aftermarket chin deflector. I think that you’re going really have a lot of fun.

Yeah I have an Electraglide CVO but I’m not taking that bike on any unpaved back roads and was looking for an adventure bike and got a good deal on this one like you said it does need like a 50/50 type of tires. The front is old and needs replacing anyway and the rear is new but can possibly sell it. This is a fun bike lots of tourque.

I tried the dirt bike thing a few years back and bought a 450 YZF and fawkin near killed myself so this one will be for sale in the spring. Not even going to ride it lol . Didn’t take any pics so defeats the show us your bike thing lol. Feelin the need to go for a sled ride😁
