So im guessing that the pto crank taper would also be different? Any one have experience a CV-tech shortblock from Mots?
Depends on the crank, if it's a new updated crankDamit. So im stuck putting 3Gs into a 5G sled just to ride another ticking time bomb.

The deed is done. New shortblock from Brp, OUCH. Anyone know the part# fort the updated 08 throttle cable?
Just picked up a rebuild kit for the primary. What should I look for on the mounts?Did you also make sure to replace the motor mounts? They don't last more than 2000k.
Whatever cable they list for the 08/09 is the current updated cable.
I did a new short block in my (now sold so it was a double ouch) 09. It made the most sense but make sure you do the mounts and refresh the clutches or all you are doing is putting a new motor and going to wear it out quicker.

Ill have to check on the block. Should I change all 4 motor mounts or just the pto side?The round damper mounts are likely torn. When you push on them they shouldn't move easily.
Was it an updated block with the new primary bolt and the larger y pipe bolts?
