Any recommendations on shocks that are quality that dont break the bank?

Do you want Good or cheap? Pick one cuz in the shock world those two words don't go in the same sentence. Shocking, I know.

haha ya after shopping around I am starting to see that. What would u say a good shock for on/off trail would be. I do more off trail but when ice fishing im on the trail for about a 30 min ride out.

What is your budget? Id say get some Raptors, but im not sure how much you are looking to spend?

I know right? Even used shocks are expensive. It seems like shicks are the only sled items that kinda hold their value.

I would recommend sending your stock shocks out to get rebuilt/revalved for your weight and riding terrain/ ability. I thimk you would notice the improvement and it wont break the bank.

Raptor are nice they do require frequent rebuilds tho and are pricey to do (seals expensive) they are. Harder seal and seem to let moisture past quicker than other shocks

I never had that problem with mine. They have a new shock out with internal bypass too. Looks sick.

I wonder if it’s more so out this way in sask where it’s bit colder.
First time I’ve ever had shock freeze down they only had 1500 km on them (half would of been mtn )when it happened, rebuild guy said it’s quite common on them that he sees here.

I'm really just looking for something that is rebuildable that holds value that I wont have to fiddle around with once they are set up for my weight/riding style. Id like to spend under $700 if possible. I just have the stock 2017 Indy shocks right now. Dont have the SP so it did not come with the Fox shocks. No issue with the shocks they came with though, just looking to see what i can get thats rebuildable since the ones that came on my sled are not.

Yeah could be. Doesnt ever get too cold in Revelstoke

For 700$ revalve is going to be your only option really, or maybe used if you find a good deal.

What sled do you have? Might help with the suggestions.

this is where i got the best price on my set up last year. They run a pretty good snow show special that nobody else out west could compete with.

about the cheapest shock out there for that sled thats rebuildable is a Walker evans shock. they are abut $200 US each short of finding a used set thats about your only route.
