Sharpen saw blades ??

[OVERKILL 19]

Keep buying these re-sharpen blades at Home Depot figuring I'll get them sharpened !!! Well I have a stack now, I asked the Home Depot specialist, he said no one in Red Deer does!!!
Has anyone had it done??


If so , is it worth it? This blade was $92 plus tax.

These are for my miter saw...... Regardless ! How do you bend a saw blade?
Im gunna start doing that if ya can't get them re sharpened. Big price difference !

Yes its worth it. those blades have decent carbide in them. I get mine done at All blade Canada in Edmonton, be anywhere from 25-45$ per blade depending on how many teeth/chipped or missing. They seem to come back even sharper than new..

Prime Fasteners in RD will do it. They send them out locally.

There was an old guy named Don that worked for Manus in Edmonton. He had a little machine shop in Mundare, he'd take them home at night, bring them back the next day. he did a great job, charged around $40/blade.

All blades is where we sent are metal skill saw blades. They worked really good after. But if there's to many missing teeth then a new one is cheaper. I can never find the courage to ask him if he sharpened the blade that cut his fingers off lol. Nice guy

I tend to always get my blades sharpend. If you go to lowes they sell a 3 pack of dewalt 10" blades for $60. A wicked deal if they happen to be on sale. Otherwise timber town sharpens them for about $20 a blade. Not sure about in red deer though.

Have you tried exchange a blade.? Higher initial cost but just bring it back and trade for a lower priced exchange.

I sharpen carbide blades, but if you had to ship them it wouldn't be worth it. Should be someone in your area that does.

I used exchange a blade for a long time. I just don't really like the blades. Find there wider then the dewalt and just don't cut as nice.

If you live in sk These guys can sharpen pretty much anything with carbide teeth.

I used to spend $200 on a blade in my door plant. I could get 20 or more sharpenings out of them.

Found a place in red deer. This and that sharpening. $27 a blade so I'll see how it turns out.
