Buddy installing Tom's Evolution Air Rear Suspension Kit in 08 XP. With the recommended pressures for air in the shocks he is reporting major sag. What is everyone using for pressure in their setup?

Recommended Pressures:
171 - 200 lb rider: FRONT shock 45lbs, REAR shock: 80lbs in main chamber, 115 lbs in evol chamber

Also how much sag is OK for this kit. In M8's which have a float rear end - 2" of sag is OK.

Yeha 2" is a good amount of sag to not be concerned with. Now is the major sag with him on it, or off it? Rider weight is with gear as well. Only running floats in the front not Evols? Mountain for floats would be 50, Evols would be 50/80.

If you still are having issues, just call Tom, they are in the shop almost every day. 80 lbs sounds low for main chamber. a 110 main 155 evol sounds more in the range. But I am not an air shock guru either, just picked up some info along the way.

You are setting the air pressure with the skid hanging right?

thanks for the info. He had the wrong amounts in the shocks. He reset the pressures to stated weights while the sled was on its side (no weight on skid) and all is good now. He has above 1" of sag when on the sled now.

He had to remove one set of idler wheels to place the 08 bracket kit on the rails. Is it ok to run without them? He still has one set at the bottom.

Thanks again for your responses.
