Hey guys,

I have a 2012 seadoo challanger sp180 with the supercharged brp motor. Bought it 3 years ago and its never been 100%. It will only pull about 6800 rpm and only hits 35-38mph. I've had it to multiple dealers with little luck. They all say the supercharger is still good, I'm at 103 hours right now... They say its misfiring and change the plugs and say its good. Well I'm sure it will rev up sitting on the trailer... Boat has had a new wear ring and impeller, it does not cavitate at all... zero

I feel the boat needs to be water tested with the computer hooked up, to me its a tps sensor or the drive by wire not working 100%. Although it could be the supercharger but 3 places say its not the issue... Boat is sitting on a lift at Alberta Beach but of course no dealer will come out and test that way even if i tell them to charge me whatever it costs, i have to trailer it to them for them to turn around and pull my boat to the lake...

I was thinking of calling Specialty motorsports in Spruce tomorrow and see if they have a computer system... any other ideas??

My 2012 wake 215 was doing the same thing. I swapped out the plugs and runs great again. I ran some left over AV gas in it, thinking that’s what caused the plugs to foul. Hope you get it figured out.

The last time Ecko had my boat they backed it into a fence, ripped the tarp and broke the trailer coupler. My father and I have bought a few seadoos, skidoos, and had alot of service done at Ecko over the years, but in the past 5ish years the quality of service seems to headed down hill. I asked them if they could come out to the boat on the lift to run it with the computer and the lady on the phone said no way, we never do that. The next service appointment they had was in 3-4 weeks...

In the last 2-3 years i've changed the plugs probably 6 times... This year i got the fuel level down to under 1/4, put in 3 cans of seafoam, ran it for half an hour, and filled with 60 liters of shell premium. Pulled the plugs again after that and they looked perfect. Still changed them to the exact model NGK plug but in iridium tip this time.

Fair enough!

I would feel the same.

I have no dealings with them.

They can only go down hill so far before the are tits up!

Verdict...

Specialty Motorsports in spruce grove came out with their computer and found 2 faulty sensors. Came out again and did the repair on the boat lift... Its running great now.

Great group of people there, I will be back whenever I need service work.

Hope some dealers get this feedback and realize that their lack in customer service is why they may be lacking in customers!

Glad it’s fixed!
