Well I went a done it picked up a new toy to play in the sand and mountains. I was at an auction last saturday and ended up getting this for a grand.
want to do some performance mods to get it up in the mid 50's on hp. Looked at aaens stuff as well as rick ritter. Anybody have some good suggestions?

That 1 grand will turn inot 3 or 4 real fast with a Scambler. LOL. Worst machine I ever had for maintenance. But....yer here now. Bear Claws. I think stock is 22" rears and 23" fronts....go 1" taller on each. (It is geared to have different heights front and rear) I did a bigger carb, injection oil delete kit, Boyeson reeds, and an aftermarket pipe. Woke things right up. Get some "long john" truck mudflaps and make your own fender extensions if yer a mud guy.

That's a good looking scrammy  I was more or less going to set mine up for the sand, paddles and a stage 1 trail port kit from rick ritter

I would say for mods Hotseat pipe and cluch kit, shave .015 off the head, toss the oil inj,
38mm flat slide carb, engine tech porting.
O ya with 50Hp you will be brakeing stuff, I know..

What do you consider a big boy?? 700 750. All I know is if it stock I have no problem keeping ahead in the skg.
It weighs in about 525lb, and will run (rader tested)113kph on the hwy with the tires.
